Resumo:
O presente estudo se trata de uma regressão linear de um modelo matemático que
procura explicar o envolvimento do índice Herfindahl-Hirschman (HHI); índice que mede a
concentração de determinado mercado; com a privatização do aeroporto de Guarulhos em
meados de 2012; com a aquisição da companhia aérea Trip pelo grupo da companhia aérea
Azul e com o início das operações do Terminal 4 do mesmo aeroporto. Os efeitos dos
fenômenos estudados foram tratados com o uso de variáveis dummy no modelo matemático
proposto. O estudo concluiu que o efeito da privatização em curto prazo é o de aumentar o
HHI e; consequentemente; aumentar a concentração do mercado. Mas a longo prazo; ele leva
a uma tendência temporal de diminuir o HHI. Abstract:
The present study is a linear regression of a mathematical model that aims to explain
the relationship between the Herfindah-Hisrchman index (HHI); an index that is usually used
to measure the concentration of a determined market; and the privatization of Guarulhos
International Airport in the middle 2012; the acquisition of the Trip airline company by Azul
airline company and the beginning of the Terminal 4 activities at the same airport. The effects
of the three phenomenon studied is analyzed by using a dummy variable in the proposed
mathematic model. The study had concluded that the effect of the privatization in a short-term
period is to increase HHI; which means the increasing of the market concentration. But in a
long-term period; it takes to a time trend of decreasing the HHI.
